Most of our partners know Ingvar well, as he’s been with us for 12 years as a Technical Manager. If there’s anything worth knowing about Swing door operators, you can be sure Ingvar knows it. But did you know he also has a keen interest in stone bridges and vintage vinyl records? In his free time, Ingvar explores the local area to find and photograph these historic stone structures. So far, Ingvar has discovered more than 500 stone bridges and even created a website to connect with fellow enthusiasts.
Ingvar’s passion for vinyl records is specific: they must be recorded in or strongly tied to Landskrona. He owns a large number of records from Landskrona musicians of different genres, rock music, reggae, pop and punk music from 1970 and up.
Another fascinating detail about Ingvar is his engineering prowess. He has built machines that are still in use at our factory in the Czech Republic. One such machine, the Tube Cutter IHA110, was created in 2011 and is still going strong 13 years later. This device cuts reinforced paper packaging tubes too thick for a hand saw—a testament to Ingvar’s enduring impact.
Three Quick Questions:
- Describe our company culture in three words:
Ability to “Think outside the box”, genuine care, humor. - What’s your superpower at work?
My ability to put myself in the technicians shoes - “see” what they are facing. - If you had to choose a colleague to be stranded on a deserted island with, who would it be and why?
I’d choose Fabian Portehaut for our shared entrepreneurial spirit to survive on the island and we’d have a better shot at escape!
